What Happens When You Run Out of Credits?

What stops working when your credit balance hits zero and how to resume service.

When your credits run out, your account stays active but credit-based features are paused until you top up.

What stops working

  • API requests return a "not enough credits" error
  • Search and enrichment calls no longer process
  • Batch uploads may pause or fail mid-way

Your dashboard will show your balance at 0, and requests that require credits will be rejected.

What you can still do

Even at zero credits, you can still:

  • Access your dashboard
  • View billing history and usage logs
  • Update account and billing settings
  • Add or remove team members (if applicable)

How to resume service

  1. Go to the Billing section in your dashboard
  2. Choose a top-up amount or upgrade your plan
  3. Submit payment

Your credit balance refreshes instantly once payment is processed.

Avoiding disruptions

  • Enable usage alerts from your dashboard
  • Use the dashboard to estimate credit costs for high-usage endpoints
  • Set up automated top-ups if your account supports it
