Overview
We're on a mission to simplify health plan administration from the ground up, starting with claims processing as a third-party administrator (TPA) for Plan Designers who create employer health insurance plans. Yuzu Health offers a technology platform for designing, launching and running custom health plans.
Its Benefits Builder lets plan designers configure tiers, accumulators and benefits. The platform also connects pharmacy benefit managers, stop-loss providers and other vendors, and it creates ID cards and welcome and support materials from scratch or from templates. Groups are launched through a web-based portal that handles banking, eligibility and auto-generated plan documents such as SPDs and SBCs with electronic signing. The company runs its own in-house claims engine and an auto-ledgering payment system, and it provides real-time reporting along with white-labeled portals for employers, members and vendors. The company presents its work as an effort to bring trust and transparency back to health insurance, which it describes as having become a black box through misaligned incentives and accumulated complexity.
