Overview
Mercor is a San Francisco-based company that organizes human expertise to support the development and evaluation of AI systems. Our vast talent network trains frontier AI models in the same way teachers teach students: by sharing knowledge, experience, and context that can't be captured in code alone. Today, more than 30,000 experts in our network collectively earn over $2 million a day.
Its expert network includes physicians, lawyers, engineers and consultants, who work through contracted roles listed on the company's platform. The company publishes APEX, a family of research benchmarks that measure AI performance on professional work in fields including investment banking, corporate law, management consulting, medicine, accounting and software engineering. It also works with enterprises to build industry-specific benchmarks.
For businesses, Mercor offers human data and evaluation services, reinforcement learning environments, and a data monetization service that automatically masks more than 60 categories of sensitive identifiers in shared workflow data. Its enterprise AI offering maps workflows, deploys production AI with embedded Forward Deployed Engineers, and provides a platform for evaluation and continuous optimization.

- Congratulations to NVIDIA AI for launching Nemotron 3.5 Super VL.
We worked with our partners Ramp, Harvey, and Cognition along with the NVIDIA team to post-train and improve the model’s performance using targeted datasets from our APEX benchmarks. Together, we wanted to answer a straightforward question: how far does a small, targeted dataset move an open model on realistic work?
- Mercor Research mapped AI benchmarks to actual US jobs.
Only 208 of 923 occupations in the US economy are represented by existing AI benchmarks. 90% of hours worked in the US aren't covered well by a relevant AI benchmark. Today, we’re releasing the 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆, an interactive breakdown of which economic tasks are covered by AI benchmarks.
