Overview

SoCalGas is the largest gas distribution utility in the United States, serving more than 21 million consumers across approximately 24,000 square miles of Central and Southern California. Our mission is: Safe, Reliable, and Affordable energy delivery today. Ready for tomorrow. SoCalGas is a recognized leader in the energy industry and has been named Corporate Member of the Year by the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce for its volunteer leadership in the communities it serves.

The company offers customers rebates and assistance programs intended to help them save money and make their homes more energy efficient. It also provides information for customers rebuilding after wildfires. Customers can recognize company crews by their uniforms, photo ID badges and branded vehicles.

SoCalGas works toward sustainable energy through hydrogen development, renewable natural gas made from waste products, fuel cell technologies and natural gas vehicles. Its projects include Angeles Link, a planned clean renewable hydrogen pipeline system, and the Innovation Experience, a microgrid that combines a home, solar arrays, a home battery and an electrolyzer that converts solar energy into hydrogen.
