Savvas traces its roots to Scott, Foresman and Company, which took that name in Chicago in 1896, and to Prentice Hall, founded in 1913. The company previously operated as Pearson K12 Learning, which became a standalone company and later adopted the Savvas Learning Company brand.

Its offerings cover literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, world languages, music, dual enrollment, and career and technical education, from early childhood through high school. Programs include the enVision mathematics series, Miller & Levine Biology, and the myPerspectives English language arts curriculum. The Savvas Realize digital platform provides classroom-management tools such as auto-rostering, single sign-on, and integrations with learning management systems, while Savvas PathMaker combines transferable college credit and industry certification pathways. The company also supplies resources to private schools and homeschool families.
