Overview

At Rover, everyone has ownership of their work and the opportunity to make a true impact. We believe that being diverse and inclusive is key to our success and encourage every employee to share their unique perspective while being their true self.

We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet, and Rover exists to make it easier to experience that love. We’re supporting dog owners and empowering dog sitters to run thriving pet-care businesses in your neighborhoods. The Rover app and website connect dog and cat parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers in neighborhoods across the US, Canada, and Europe. Rover was founded in 2011 and is part of the Rover Group, which also includes Cat in a Flat, focused on cat-specific care in North America and Europe, and Mad Paws, which serves Australia. The group reports that it operates in 18 countries and that more than 12 million pets have been looked after through its marketplaces.

Services booked through the platform include in-home overnight boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, doggy day care and dog walking, with dog training and grooming available in some markets. Pet owners can schedule optional Meet & Greets or trial days, message sitters in the app, receive photo updates and pay through the platform.

Sitters joining Rover must pass an identity verification. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which in Finland includes reimbursement of up to €25,000 for eligible vet care, and the Rover team provides 24/7 support.
