Overview
k-ID powers the age aware internet for games and digital platforms. The company serves gaming, social media, consumer AI and other platforms with user-generated content.
We provide the core infrastructure that allows digital platforms to determine age and apply the right experiences, protections, and legal requirements globally. Our platform handles age assurance, parental consent, and regulatory logic in a privacy preserving way across more than 200 markets, so companies can scale safely without slowing product teams or collecting unnecessary data. Its product line includes AgeKit for free age classification by jurisdiction, AgeKit+ for privacy-preserving age verification through methods such as facial estimation, ID checks and reusable age tokens, and the Compliance Development Kit (CDK) for enforcing market-specific permissions, notices and feature access. A Safe Start option in CDK admits users with a default safe experience and unlocks chat, purchases and social features after verification at the point of use. Family Connect gives parents a single portal for consent and controls, while neimo provides AI-powered regulatory intelligence. The company also orchestrates third-party age assurance methods, including AgeKey reusable credentials from the OpenAge Initiative.
Recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions and a Fast Company Next Big Thing in Tech, k-ID is trusted by leading game publishers and digital platforms as governments and families demand practical, global solutions for youth online safety and privacy. Its team brings experience in law, privacy, trust and safety, and gaming from companies such as Meta, Google, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Netflix and Tencent.
