Overview

Hyundai Motor Company is an automotive manufacturer that describes itself as a mobility company, building passenger vehicles alongside electric and hydrogen-powered models. The company says its mission is to become a lifelong mobility partner for customers and communities through clean energy, connected technology and human-centered innovation. It employs more than 120,000 people, operates across more than 200 countries and delivers over 4.6 million vehicles each year, a scale that places it among the larger volume carmakers. Besides automotive design, it is investing in smart mobility, sustainability and technology.

In Thailand the brand trades as Hyundai Mobility Thailand, where its line-up is organised into SUV, EV, N performance and MPV categories. Models offered there include the STARIA Hybrid, an 11-seat hybrid people carrier, the STARGAZER, the SANTA FE Hybrid with HTRAC all-wheel drive, the PALISADE Diesel and diesel versions of the STARIA. The range shows electrified powertrains offered next to conventional diesel ones, which is typical of markets where buyers are still moving gradually toward electric vehicles.

Its electric offering in the Thai market centres on the IONIQ 5 N and the IONIQ 5 N Line, and the latter is described as assembled in Thailand. Customers can book test drives and service appointments, request price quotations, locate dealers and buy online, and the company also publishes buying guides on topics such as choosing an electric car. Assembling vehicles in the countries where they are sold is a common way for international carmakers to reduce import costs and adapt their ranges to local demand.
