Big Loud Records is part of Big Loud, a Nashville-based music company that also includes Big Loud Publishing and Big Loud Management. The business grew out of the Big Loud Shirt publishing company on Music Row, and its management arm, launched in 2011, takes an artist development approach that covers every part of an artist's musical brand. The label, publishing company and management division share one building, where songs move from writers rooms on the third floor to a basement studio and label offices on the second floor.

The label's roster combines newer artists with established names in country music. Big Loud also runs imprints and ventures under its label and publishing umbrellas, including Songs & Daughters, Big Loud Rock, Big Loud Texas, Severance Records, Back Blocks Music, HiXTAPE and Cadillac Music.
