Ali Group

Founded in 1963, the Ali Group is a global corporation headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with its European corporate office located in Milan, Italy. Through its subsidiaries, the company designs, manufactures, markets and services a broad line of commercial and institutional foodservice equipment used by major restaurant and hotel chains, independent restaurants, hospitals, schools, airports, correctional institutions and canteens. Its product segments cover cooking, refrigeration, washing and waste management, ice and beverage dispensing, bakery, coffee machines, ice cream, gelato, soft-serve and shake equipment, and meal delivery, preparation and storage systems. The company also offers contract, distribution and service work, including preventative maintenance and breakdown cover for commercial and institutional caterers.

The Ali Group and its more than 110 global brands employ approximately 14,500 people in 29 countries and, in terms of sales, is the world’s largest group in this industry. It has 74 manufacturing facilities in 17 countries and sales and service subsidiaries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, South America, and Asia Pacific. Each company in the group operates independently, while headquarters handles investment strategy, oversight, evaluation and support for business growth. The group serves and distributes to more than 180 countries, with installations on all seven continents, including Antarctica, and it has supplied mobile kitchen units to the United Nations for peacekeeping missions. It runs research centers around the world that work on new technology and materials.
