Overview
Brookfield Properties develops and operates real estate investments on behalf of Brookfield Asset Management — one of the largest alternative asset managers in the world. From office to retail, logistics to multifamily, and hospitality to development, we work across sectors to bring high-quality, sustainable real estate to life around the globe every day.
The company traces its origins to The Forum, an ice rink built in Montreal in 1950. It manages more than 330 million square feet across more than 1,400 properties on five continents and has more than 2,000 employees. North America is the company's largest market, and it also operates in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East, and South America.
The company's living business develops and operates homes both to rent and to sell, while its retail destinations sit within mixed-use precincts that draw office workers, hotel guests, residents and visitors. Properties in its portfolio include Manhattan West in New York, One Leadenhall in the United Kingdom, ICD Brookfield Place in Dubai, Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and Beijing New Airport Park in China.
