WM tailors its services to meet the needs of each customer group and to ensure consistent, superior service at the local level. Headquartered in Houston, the company serves nearly 20 million municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential customers through a network of 367 collection operations, 355 transfer stations, 273 active landfill disposal sites, 16 waste-to-energy plants, 104 recycling plants, and 111 beneficial-use landfill gas projects.
WM offers curbside trash and recycling pickup for residential customers, along with trash and recycling collection services for businesses and other organizations. The company also rents roll-off dumpsters for projects ranging from quick cleanouts to major renovations. Through WM Support, customers can take care of service issues online or connect with a support agent. WM also publishes Recycling 101, an educational resource on recycling fundamentals that explains which common materials are recyclable and outlines three simple rules for recycling the right way every day.
