Overview
At Temple Health, more is how excellence is defined. Temple Health is a Philadelphia-based academic health system redefining what’s possible in advanced patient care. Through clinical innovation, pioneering research, and world-class education, Temple is transforming complex medical challenges into real-world solutions—delivering more answers, more options, and more possibilities for patients.
Powered by more than 1,700 physicians, researchers and scientists across Temple University Hospital, the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple accelerates the translation of scientific discovery into practical therapies, united by a shared commitment to advancing medicine and expanding what patients can expect from their care. The system includes Temple University Hospital's Main Campus in North Philadelphia, along with its Jeanes, Episcopal and Northeastern campuses, Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital, Fox Chase Cancer Center, the Temple Faculty Physicians practice plan, the Temple Physicians, Inc. network and the Temple Transport Team ground and air-ambulance service. Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital, an alliance with PCOM, is a 148-bed community-based inpatient and outpatient facility, and Temple Faculty Physicians comprises more than 500 full-time and part-time academic physicians in 20 clinical departments. The Episcopal Campus is the main location for behavioral health services, and the system also operates Temple Women & Families Hospital, which focuses on care for women, babies and families.
Temple’s depth of expertise enables outcomes once thought impossible—more specialized expertise, more innovation, and more opportunities to expect what’s next in medicine. Its researchers work in more than a dozen research centers at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Fox Chase Cancer Center. Its specialty programs include organ transplantation, pulmonary and thoracic medicine, cardiovascular medicine, neurosciences, orthopedics and sports medicine, gastroenterology, oncology and urology. It Takes Temple Health.
