Overview
Solo is a sales enablement software company, based in Lehi, Utah, that builds in-home sales tools for EPCs, installers, dealers and other home improvement businesses. The company has operated since 2018 and started in solar, and its platform has been used to generate more than 6 million proposals. In residential solar and similar trades, a sales rep often visits the home, designs the system, prices it and arranges financing in one meeting, so proposal software affects how many deals close.
Solo combines measurement, AI-enabled design, proposal generation, embedded financing and contract signing in one workflow aimed at closing the sale in a single visit. Its products are organised by trade into Solar Studio, Roofing Studio, HVAC Studio and Generator Studio, extending to other home trades the approach the company first built for solar. Battery-only proposals let contractors configure storage options, model savings across multiple operating modes and present backup recommendations to homeowners. The platform offers more than 70 integrations covering finance providers, CRMs and back-office tools, with the goal of reducing duplicate data entry and switching between tools.
Solo says it was built by sales industry veterans and highlights guided, company-approved workflows meant to prevent pricing and configuration errors across a sales team. This focus on standardisation fits the needs of installers who run many reps in the field, a point echoed in the company's "Fast. Accurate. Built for the field." tagline. The company lists values centred on insight, accountability, collaboration and long-term building, and ties its work to making renewable energy more accessible to homeowners.
