Overview

Rocket Lab builds, launches, and operates rockets and spacecraft for our global customers. Our Electron launch vehicle is the world’s most frequently launched orbital small rocket, our HASTE rocket is progressing America’s hypersonic capabilities on suborbital missions, and our larger Neutron rocket is currently in development. From across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand, Rocket Lab designs and manufactures individual spacecraft components to entire satellites constellations for missions to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Rocket Lab is headquartered in Long Beach, California, and operates manufacturing and mission operations facilities in Virginia, New Mexico, Colorado, Maryland, Toronto and New Zealand. The company was founded in 2006 and built Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand, as a private orbital launch site, later adding Launch Complex 2 at Wallops Island, Virginia.

Electron offers dedicated and rideshare launch options, and Neutron is designed as a 13-tonne payload class vehicle for constellation deployment, cargo resupply and interplanetary missions. Rocket Lab's spacecraft platforms include Photon, Pioneer, Lightning and Explorer, serving commercial, civil and defense markets. Component lines cover space solar cells, composite structures, flight and ground software, star trackers, reaction wheels, separation systems and satellite radios.
