Providence Diamond

Providence Diamond is a family-owned jewelry and watch retailer based in Garden City Center in Cranston, Rhode Island, serving customers across Rhode Island and New England. The business was founded in 1984 and is now run by the second generation of the founding family. Independent, family-run jewelers like this one usually compete with national chains by stocking authorized designer and watch brands and building long-term relationships with local clients, which fits the company's stated relationship-driven approach.

Its range covers engagement rings, bridal jewelry, certified diamonds, designer jewelry and luxury watches. Designer lines include David Yurman, Roberto Coin, Marco Bicego and Nouvel Heritage, alongside the company's own Providence Diamond Collection and a PD Estate line of estate jewelry. The bridal offering spans solitaire, halo, three-stone and vintage engagement styles, wedding bands and anniversary rings, supported by diamond education material. Services include jewelry repairs, appraisals, gold buying and trade-ins, and custom design work.

On the watch side, the company describes itself as Rhode Island's exclusive authorized Rolex jeweler and also offers Rolex Certified Pre-Owned models. Its PD Watches salon at 109 Hillside Road in Cranston carries TUDOR, Breitling, Grand Seiko, TAG Heuer, NOMOS Glashütte and NORQAIN, as well as winders and storage, and provides in-house service, repair and timepiece buying. Authorized dealer status matters to watch buyers because brands such as Rolex sell new watches only through approved retailers, which gives buyers assurance of authenticity and manufacturer warranty coverage. The company also caters to shoppers marking graduations, engagements, anniversaries and holidays.
