Oceans hires incredible operational talent in Sri Lanka and South Africa, matching them with world-class startups around the globe. The company places full-time remote operators, called Divers, in functions such as executive assistance, marketing, operations, finance and customer success. Each operator is trained on AI tools relevant to the role, from GPT-based assistants to analytics and automation platforms, and receives ongoing upskilling.
Candidates go through a six-stage vetting process that includes interviews, skills tests and personality assessments, and the company reports a 1% acceptance rate. Engagements move through discovery, matching, a 90-day integration period and growth, with an account manager and pod leader supporting performance and retention. Divers typically work four to five hours in the client's time zone plus three to four hours of independent work, under a three-month trial followed by a rolling auto-renewal contract.
