Overview
Founded in 1937, MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) has remained committed to helping members achieve financial success and stability through every stage of life. With a network of branches across Michigan and a growing presence in Chicago and northern Illinois, we’re expanding our reach while staying true to our member first mission. The credit union was started by eight Michigan State College faculty and staff members, who first ran it out of a desk drawer on campus. Its headquarters is on West Road in East Lansing, and it also operates under the trade name Oakland University Credit Union.
MSUFCU offers checking and savings accounts, certificates, IRAs and health savings accounts, along with vehicle, home, personal and student loans and Visa credit cards. It also provides insurance products, wealth management and investment services through TrulyU, estate planning tools, and business accounts and loans. Its charitable arm, the MSUFCU Desk Drawer Foundation, distributes donations across five areas: entrepreneurship, financial education, stable housing, the arts and youth empowerment.
