Overview
For over 110 years we’ve been helping people across the country do more than just send flowers and gifts. Along with our network of expert florists, we help you give joy, strength and love. And most importantly, we help you give it with meaning.
FTD was founded in 1910 by a group of 10 florists as the Florists' Telegraph Delivery Association, a flowers-by-wire service that used the telegraph to connect people through flowers. The company introduced its Mercury Man logo, inspired by the Roman god of speed and communication, and later developed Mercury Network, an electronic system connecting florists across the country.
FTD sells flower bouquets, plants, gift baskets and sympathy arrangements such as wreaths and standing sprays for birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions. Orders can be delivered the same day by partner florists in the United States, or shipped with FedEx, UPS or USPS. The company delivers to nearly all of the United States and Canada and serves more than 150 countries worldwide.
