Overview
God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in him — desiringGod.org exists to help people everywhere understand and embrace this truth. We aim to make the glory of God and the goodness of joy the foundation and flavor of everything we do. Desiring God calls this view Christian Hedonism and presents its work as a Christian ministry aimed at guiding people toward lasting joy in Jesus Christ.
The company offers more than 16,000 free resources, including articles, sermons, books and podcasts. Its resources include Ask Pastor John, which answers questions about God from the Bible; Look at the Book, a video study of short Scripture passages; and Solid Joys, a short devotional for every day of the year. A team of teachers delivers this content through preaching, writing, podcasts and interviews, and affirms the Desiring God Affirmation of Faith.
Donations make up 98% of Desiring God's budget, and supporters can give as ministry partners. The company does not provide personal counseling.
