Overview
Cotopaxi is the trade name of Global Uprising, PBC, an outdoor gear company that sells packs, bags, travel gear, and men's and women's apparel. Cotopaxi creates outdoor products, apparel, and experiences that help alleviate poverty, move people to do good, and inspire adventure. Our social impact strategy focuses on global poverty alleviation, and we employ responsible sourcing and manufacturing practices throughout our supply chains. Its work supporting people affected by poverty has a primary focus on Latin America. Cotopaxi dedicates 1% of annual revenue to the Cotopaxi Foundation, a Utah-based private 501c3 nonprofit that supports nonprofit organizations working to reduce poverty through health care, education, and livelihoods. Cotopaxi is a certified B Corporation and a member of 1% for the Planet, and it uses recycled, deadstock, and other sustainably minded materials for over 96% of its products.
Its Guaranteed for Good program offers a lifetime warranty with repairs, and the company also sells pre-loved gear. Its online store lets customers choose from locations including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom, with pricing, currency, and shipping options varying by location.

- Tackling microfiber plastic pollution is critical to the future of sustainability and requires collaboration.
We are thrilled to announce that Cotopaxi has officially joined the Microfiber Action Alliance (MAA), a new multi-stakeholder initiative uniting brands to tackle this problem, which impacts not only ecosystems but human health. Microfibers are small particles that shed from both synthetic and natural textiles.
- Last week, our impact team was honored to attend this year's Climate week in New York City.
From discussing how we are streamlining and democratizing our circularity alongside Donatela Bellone and Dana Davis at La Positive Society, to sitting down with like-minded leaders at The Climate Pledge and host, Nacho Garcia-Valdecasas, in order to scale plastics reduction, we remain invigorated and firmly focused on the opportunities ahead in sustainability. This year's conference felt productive, focused, and collaborative.
