Overview

As the only national association dedicated solely to children’s hospitals, the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) brings pediatric-specific expertise, data, and networking to move children’s health to the center of care and policy. By uniting perspectives, informing decisions, and driving progress, we turn collective insight into continuous improvement and lasting impact. The organization is a membership association of children's hospitals, health systems and related organizations that care for children in their communities and beyond, and it maintains a directory of its member hospitals. Membership is intended to help hospitals build relationships with peers, improve patient outcomes and support continued growth.

The association describes itself as an advocate for children's health that drives action and innovation so every child gets the care they need. It publishes material on topics such as youth mental health and youth suicide prevention, and a CHA research group studies pediatric firearm injuries. Its leadership consists of a senior staff team and a Board of Trustees. When children’s hospitals unite through CHA, they’re not just heard—they lead.
