Overview
Canfor is a world leading manufacturer of wood products like lumber for building houses and construction, pulp and paper, wood pellets and green energy. We have a history dating back to 1938 in Western Canada and have grown into a successful global company with people, customers, operations and sales offices around the world.
The company's structural lumber is sourced from Western Canada, the Southeastern United States and Sweden. Its product range also includes interior finishes such as boards and paneling, outdoor living products like decking, fencing and balusters, and engineered wood such as glue laminated timber for residential, commercial and industrial mass timber applications. Its pulp and paper products are made from northern fibers.
Canfor has a workforce of over 6,500 employees across 66 operations and offices in 51 communities in Canada, the US and Europe. The company publishes an annual sustainability report. Its community investment and giving program, Good Things Come From Trees, supports local initiatives and funds long-term projects in health, sustainability, education and community, and a foundation of the same name was established to sustain this community giving.
