AIKO was founded in 2009 and has developed technologies including tubular PERC cells, 210mm and 166mm cells, and its ABC cell and module line. The company operates six major production bases and three R&D centers in Freiburg (Germany), Zhuhai and Yiwu, and reports more than 1,000 patents and over 10,000 employees worldwide.
AIKO offers module solutions for residential, commercial and industrial, and utility-scale projects, and its ABC modules are exported to Europe, Asia-Pacific, Japan, Korea, the Middle East, and Africa. Its project references include a residential installation in South Africa and a mountain utility-scale PV project in Dangjin, South Korea. The company also maintains an installer center with information for installers, as well as a distributor network, and BloombergNEF lists it as a Tier 1 PV module manufacturer.
