The firm traces its origins to AeroEquity, founded in 1998, which completed 15 platform investments and 22 add-ons as a fundless sponsor before rebranding as AE Industrial Partners and launching its first institutional private equity fund. AE Industrial's strategy is to invest throughout the long product lifecycles of highly technical markets, balancing organic and acquisition-based growth initiatives within portfolio companies.
