Petrobras works across the energy chain, with activities in exploration and production, including the pre-salt layer, as well as logistics, refining, gas and fertilizers. Its product range includes gasoline, diesel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, vehicular natural gas, fuel oils, lubricant base oils, bunker fuel, asphalt cement, sulfur and paraffin. Products the company describes as more sustainable include Bunker VLS B24, a marine fuel with 24% biodiesel, Diesel R and SAF Petrobras aviation fuel, both with a renewable share, and CAP Pro, an asphalt cement with recyclable material that reduces estimated installation emissions by up to 65%.

The company operates a research center and works in open innovation, and it sponsors cultural, social and environmental projects through Petrobras Cultural and the Programa Petrobras Socioambiental, along with sports such as women's soccer, motorsports and skateboarding.
