Overview
Affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, CHOC's growing pediatric healthcare system is comprised of premier facilities, leading-edge programs and services, life-saving research, healing amenities, and education and training programs designed to prepare the next generation of pediatric experts. Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) is part of Rady Children's Health, a pediatric healthcare system in Southern California that also includes Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. The combined system operates three hospitals, a network of primary and specialty care centers spanning six counties, and two of the region's Level 1 pediatric trauma centers.
Our mighty brigade of physicians, nurses and staff—each sharing a deep connection to our mission— are dedicated to caring for children, whether they’re healthy or seriously ill. So, kids can get back to being kids. CHOC's staff in Orange County are known as the Defenders of Childhood.
Rady Children's Health is supported by two philanthropic foundations, the Rady Children's Foundation and the CHOC Foundation. The CHOC Foundation operates as a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, raising support from individuals, families and corporations for clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach, education and research, with donations staying in the local community.
